Everyone has a toilet story

Tell us your Jobby story, or send us your best Jobby joke. Maybe it was a desperate dash on a long journey, a spotless surprise in the middle of nowhere, a festival nightmare, a holiday near miss, or a kind stranger who pointed you the right way. Funny, lucky, awkward or heartwarming, we want to hear it.

Prefer to make people groan? Send us a toilet joke instead. The best stories and jokes will be shared on the Anita Jobby blog. You do not need to be a driver, a writer or a comedian. You just need a story, or a joke.

Stories we would love

  • The toilet that saved your day
  • The one that did the opposite
  • A funny or awkward moment, told kindly
  • A near miss on holiday, at a festival, on the school run or on a work trip
  • A tip that helped someone else
  • A toilet you wish was on the map

Jokes we would love

  • Short, silly and groan-worthy
  • Light and friendly, never at anyone’s expense
  • Your own, or one you made up at the roadside

A few simple rules

  • Keep it your own story or joke, and keep it kind.
  • Please do not include names or details that could identify other people, especially children.
  • No links or adverts, please.
  • A few paragraphs is perfect for a story, up to about 800 words. A joke can be a line or two.
  • We read everything before it goes live. We may edit for length and clarity, and not every submission will be published.
